i am currently sitting at the med school library and wondering where my focus and self discipline have run off to.

things to cover, eventually:
1. clean-up crew
2. mani-pedi incident of 2009 (i wonder if these vietnamese women blabbering away while painting my nails are talking about me? …the answer is YES.)
3. my love for trader joe’s
4. brasil!

also, it smelled weird when i first came in and i thought i’d get used to it eventually but i’m still not…it smells like durian, which i think made my face accidentally adopt a scorn when scanning the library and seeing asian people, but their noses were two inches away from big science textbooks so i don’t think they noticed anyway. (note: it is an endearing scorn seeing as i am asian and they are of my people.)  anyway, i think i’m getting a headache and a tiny and very neurotic/paranoid part of me is wondering if it’s a silent gas leak that’s slowly eating holes into my brain.

i take my academic aggression out on the med school library in quiet ways, like neatly and silently drinking bottles of water and cans of diet pepsi and slowly chewing (as to minimize crunching noises) snacks while staring at the “PLEASE: No Food or Drinks at Computers” signs.
